will be found guilty, i would imagine and hope he gets the death penalty. charlie kirk was the finest person, he did not deserve this. he worked so hard and well. everybody liked him, even the left is having a hard time. they fired dowd from usdnc, they fired him and are firing other people. talking about radical left. radical left networks and ib cael channels, horrible like ms, i always call it dns. it is affiliated with democratic national committee, a little statement you make. msnbc, abc, they are terrible. even they have been giving it like this can't be allowed to happen. >> brian: i love moment of silence at yankee game and redskin game, commanders game last night. doesn't matter who you voted for

street. if i did that six months ago or a year ago, i would have a 30% chance of being here. it is amazing, d.c. is a great, safe network, fixing it up physically, putting in new medians, give everything coat of az asphalt. they would fill a pothole and never touch it 10 years. old potholes don't look good. we'll make it beautiful at minimal cost, we'll have the most beautiful capital in the world. people would come from iowa and indiana and their son would be killed, killed. now you can come and you can enjoy. i was very embarrassed because i had president of poland in and hay they started asking me about d.c., i said we're proud of the fact nobody has been killed this week. he being loos at me and says,

i'm telling the press, in the oval office, great oval office, upgraded office. the press is asking, what about that, we have not had anybody killed in the last three weeks and it's been like nine years since nobody has been killed every week somebody has been killed for years. we have not had crime. they said down 87%. i said what about the 13%, why wouldn't be down 100%. be proud of your capital, business and restaurants are booming. this took place, really in 12 days, now it is better, each day it becomes better. >> ainsley: what do you say to families watching, we've heard so much negative news with the lady being killed on the train. >> president trump: that was terrible. >> ainsley: and charlie kirk, a school shooting the other day,

those are just three big events that happened in the last few days or we learned about. >> brian: and the attempts on your life. >> president trump: that maniac is go ing through a trial right now, with a phenomenal judge. she realized jack smith was deranged. i appointed her, but i don't know her. talented person, brilliant judge. by coincidence, she got that case. he's a wise guy. the person that killed the young girl, beautiful girl, 22, 23 years old, she got on that intra, she was, you could see she just almost like snuck on, didn't want to --

>> brian: just finished her job. >> president trump: she was afraid. if you look at the way she is looking at her phone, she felt un unsafe. we can't have that. this maniac from behind, i didn't want to watch it. i knew what happened. what he did to her was unbelievable and he walks through, knife dripping blood and everything else. we have to have quick trials. in china, they do have quick trials. they don't wait six years. >> brian: you start guilty and end guilty in china. >> president trump: what happens here, seven or eight years and by time it ends -- well, he had a reason to do it, he wasn't treated right in grade school, it is his teacher's fault and government's fault. they should have a trial the following day, when you have

somebody on tape, here is guy on tape getting ready and then he did his thing. the whole thing on tape. this trial will go on, it will start in two, three, four years. we have to have in certain places that do it differently, they have what is called quick trial. a fast trial, a fast verdict. if he's guilty, we'll have to keep him, feed him, take care of him for let's say he's 28 or 29 years old. like for 50 years. >> brian: never should have been let out. >> president trump: shouldn't have been let out and the judge should be responsible for that, the way she did it. in utah you have death penalty and a good governor there, i have gotten to know him. the governor is intent on the death penalty in this case and he should be. in north carolina, you also have it, we have to make sure that

happens. horrific crime. >> brian: ainsley point is in the big picture, what do you say to people who say they see assassination attempts on your life and see what happen to charlie and are saying what is going on with the political process now instead of putting your votes, you try to survive. there are lawmakers cancelling events this weekend, aoc on the left and lawmakers on the right saying i'm concerned about doing a public event. as president, what do you tell them? >> president trump: you have to go forward. you watch as closely as you can. you have -- i have great people, i have people now much better and far more -- when i was hit in butler, they wouldn't, it was biden, they wouldn't approve. we had 55,000 people, tremendous crowds and far fewer people than biden, he had more secret

service than me and have like eight people show up and i had 55 or 60,000 people show up, butler is a great example. we have great people right now. we had a thing happen that is big and people don't talk about it. we won great decisions. supreme court, i give them credit, we had a decision on merit, this country is a country of merit. you don't have to be woman or man or this or that, don't have to be white, black, asian, whatever it is. it is based on merit now and i wasn't sure if anybody would have courage to make that decision. that was a big decision. when you go down to washington and see these people, they happen to be strong soldiers, they are big and strong and don't mind fighting as opposed to somebody that is not equipped to do that, that weighs 100 pounds. >> brian: and has a third

nationality or sexuality. >> president trump: you can say it, i rather not, you hire people based on merit. i give credit to supreme court for that. so with some of these people, though, we're going to have to do, politicians are one thing, but we have to have trials that go quickly. can't have a trial that is going to start in 3-1/2 years from now. >> lawrence: he's only one, that was political violence. democrats don't want national guard because they say they belong in war zeens. our cities, chicago, six shot over weekend, killed, 11 more. >> president trump: and that's a good weekend. >> lawrence: happening in every major city, a lunatic is on the street that some soros da allowed out, what is going to happen? >> president trump: i think i'll be first to say it. we're going to memphis.

memphis is deeply troubled, the mayor is happy, democratic mayor. mayor is happy and governor of tennessee is happy. deeply troubled. we're going to fix it like we did washington. i would prefer to go to chicago, i had a man head of big railroad, they are doing a merger. i asked him, one of the largest train companies, maybe the largest, you can figure out who it is, union pacific. he was in my office and started 45 years ago with the railroad. sir, i'm a railroader, that is the kind of guy, as opposed to wall street guy. impressive guy. i said, what do you think, where she we go next? we're going to straighten out crime in the cities. he said, sir, memphis would be good, he's on board of fed ex,

when i walk one block to my hotel, they put me in an armored vehicle with bullet-proof glass to take me one block. he said it is terrible. let me ask you a question, we're going to memphis, just announcing that. >> ainsley: national guard? >> president trump: national guard and anybody else we need, military if we need it. national guard. memphis is a great music city, home of elvis and everything else. i said where else should we go, where would you say? sir, please do me a favor, st. louis has been badly hit, very hard, he said, don't lose chicago. you are going to lose chicago, it's a great city, you're going to lose chicago. we have this loud pritzker on everyday. does he realize last weekend he had 11 people killed and 28

wounded. >> brian: doesn't bother him, hes the situation is handled. >> president trump: he said he has no problem. he had a weekend when 70 people were injured. every weekend they are losing many people. it is out of control. when this guy who is a smart guy, heads biggest railroad, the way he said it, sir, please don't lose chicago, we are about to lose chicago. it is a great city, you can save chicago. >> brian: san francisco said you are not allowed to use national guard, military in california, you are waiting for that decision on appeal. >> president trump: we've been winning those decisions. >> brian: you are waiting, you are appealing it, are you waiting for that appeal to go your direction so you can put the national guard and don't have to worry about court? >> president trump: we're really

not, we think we are going to win all of them. we won one against gavin newsom, who has been terrible. if we didn't go into l.a., you wouldn't have the olympics there. they lost 25,000 houses to fire, they have water they send into the pacific to protect tiny fish. which did badly when it didn't have water, the whole thing is crazy. you wouldn't have lost houses, would have had sprinklers and fire hydrants. now they want to build low income housing where many of the houses are. this came in last week. nobody has permits, federal government, lee zeldin is incredible and tougher permits, everybody is permitted in california in los angeles. everybody has a permit to build a house, rebuild a house except city and state have not given permits and it is a long time and people want to build.

>> ainsley: what is the reason? >> brian: environment. >> president trump: they are incompetent, my environmental is tougher than his and everybody had it within 30 days. this is over a year and these people are standing outside their house and want to rebuild. in my opinion, they want to take a large section and build low-income housing -- >> brian: pacific palisades. >> president trump: it is unfair to the people. they want to be politically correct. they are seething inside, they want to be politically correct and won't say it. >> lawrence: that is every city. you got chicago and other cities that say people we interview them say they want national guard, they want safety, in memphis, they want it. why not go anyway? >> president trump: democrats don't want it, almost every city in trouble is run by democrats, cashless bail is a disaster. when they came out with that and i think it started in new york,

when they came out, somebody kills somebody and judge says come back to trial in 10 years and go out and he goes and kills somebody else. cashless bail has to end. sanctuary cities are a disaster, it is a democrat, they are a couple of bad republican places and we'll fix them up. republicans want me to come. >> brian: louisiana and new orleans. >> president trump: governor of louisiana, other thing we could fix that up, i could fix that up in a week and a half. new orleans is in bad shape, the governor wants us, we'll do that, too. chicago is a major city, smart guy, sir, he was almost like as somebody that loves the country and he knows every city. the rail road stops in all the cities. some are too far gone, he said, don't lose chicago, you are about to lose chicago, he means lose it permanently. i can fix chicago, much bigger

who is 85 years old is sitting in a chair with a gun in her hand and they leave her alone. if she did not have a gun, they wouldn't leave her alone. d.c. is a good example. the mayor is a very liberal person, not in favor of this and now all of a sudden, she's being praised by people in the community. who doesn't want it to happen? in chicago, do you want to have no crime or walk outside and get mugged or killed? they are losing six, seven, eight, nine people every week. and 30 or 40 are being shot, that is worse than afghanistan. no city like that, we hear about places like afghanistan is terrible. they don't have anything like that. when i had in front of president of poland, the press, we had a media scrum screaming in the oval office, i had to say, i'm pleased to report nobody shot or

killed this week. he is like, is that good? they don't have people shot every week, et cetera, et cetera, it is different. we are doing great, we would love to save chicago. we don't want to go into a hostile -- by the way, the people will greet us. they have professional agitators, they are professional. >> ainsley: paid. >> president trump: i went into a restaurant and this woman stood up, i looked at her, she had money, they get paid for it. from soros and other people. we're going to look into soros, i think it is a rico case against him and other people. this is more than protesters, this issagetation and riots on the street. >> ainsley: what do we do about our country, we have radical on the right and left, people are watching videos and cheering, some people are cheering that charlie was killed. how do we fix this country? how do we come back together?

>> president trump: i tell you something that is going to get me in trouble, i couldn't care less. radicals on the right are radical because they don't want to see crime. >> brian: worried about the border. >> president trump: we don't want people coming in, we don't want you burning our shopping centers, shooting our people in the street. radicals on the left are the problem and they are vicious and horrible and politically savvy. they want men in women's sports, they want transgender for everyone, open borders. worst thing that happened to this country, i solved ni inflation. worst thing is when we let 25 million people in, many of which and i say 80% should not be in our country, they empty their prisons into our country, they empty mental institution and insane asylum.

that is a mental institution on steroids. they empty out insane asylums into our country by the millions, it is the hardest thing. we have a border that is totally secure, nobody came in, think of that, they had nobody. we used to have millions come in, nobody came in and we back up border with military. done a great job. worst thing that happened to allow millions in from jails, mental institutionings, drug dealers, they threw them into our country and these stupid people, some of them are stupid in terms of common sense, brilliant in other ways. biden wasn't calling the shots, radical left geniuses surrounded him and he used the resolute desk. i hate he used it.

he did not do everything. autopen signed everything, he wasn't aware of anything being signed. >> brian: what about killers from prison and doesn't know it. >> president trump: took the unselect committee that investigated stuff and found out we were right on everything. they burned all the information, we were right. nancy pelosi knew, i will give you 10,000 troops, january 6, we don't want them, they found out it was true. they burned everything and biden gave them a pardon, gave people on the committee, congress people, a pardon. it is so what they did, what he did to this country will live in infamy. what he did and i say lawrence, i say what he and his people because he was sleeping most of the time and should not have been president.

places like california doesn't have ballot boxes. they send out 38 million ballots, nobody know where they are going and they come back, democrats get more than republicans. it is unfair the system, we will fix the system. >> ainsley: what are you going to do about president putin, we saw drones in poland, more sanctions? >> president trump: i will not depend anybody, poland were knocked down. he shouldn't be close to poland. i solved seven wars, seven. i did so many including pakistan and india. but big ones. some were unsolvable. congo and rawanda, i solved it. millions of people killed. i solved wars that were unsolvable. happening albania, i had the prime minister and presidents in my office, they sat so far

apart. fellas, get together. i've been fighting, both great guys, i've been fighting for 22 years, killing his people for 22 years, the other one for seven years, for seven years killing their people. let's hug and make up. we solved the problem. they said it was unsolvable. i thought easiest would be ukraine and russia. >> brian: problem is putin. he picked up pace of bombing. >> president trump: tremendous hate hatred between him and zelenskyy. >> brian: zelenskyy says i'm coming to the table. >> president trump: now he does, he wasn't coming so quickly, you remember -- >> brian: does your patience run out with putin? >> president trump: yeah, running out andun aring out fast. it takes two to tango. when putin wants to do it zelenskyy didn't.

when zelenskyy wants to do it, putin didn't. now zelenskyy wants to and putin is question mark. we'll have to come down very strong. only one. this is -- i've always had a great relationship with putin, this is the only war that i have not solved. let's get into gaza, that is another one. those are two that are -- >> brian: what is clamping down on vladamir putin? >> president trump: it will be hitting hard with sanctions to banks and having to do with oil and tariffs also. i've already done it, i've done a lot. india was their biggest customer, i put 50% tariff on india buying oil from russia. that is a big deal and causes rift with india. remember this, this is europe problem more than our problem. other thing i've done, brian, i know how you feel strongly about it and i understand.

a lot of people do and a lot don't. we were spending 350 billion on a war across the ocean. europe spending 100 billion, still a lot, it should have been equalized or they spent more. i went to nato, great relationship with nato countries. i got them to raise from 2% to 5% and pay for anything. all our costs are being paid by nato. nato, they are rich countries and they are paying. we are sending missiles and things to nato, nato is paying us and distributing where they want, in this case, ukraine. which is a big saving, big difference. >> brian: huge. >> president trump: i want to stop it for a different reason. now we make money, i don't want to make money. we are making money. i want to stop, they are losing 6 to 7000 sold yiers every week

and some people in town. big numbers are soldiers. last week they lost 7018 soldiers, more russia than ukraine. they are both, they have lost a million and a half soldiers fighting back and forth. i want to stop it on a human basis. they are russian and ukrainian, not america, i feel i have an obligation to do it. that was one i thought would be easiest of the seven and turned out to be toughest. >> lawrence: you have hamas, you have given them one final warning they rejected, they are upset and qatar upset, they have terrorists in their country, what are you going to do? >> president trump: when i got involved, it was a mess, byted biden left a mess, he was the worst president we've ever had,

tariffs, 29 billion. we're a rich, powerful country and can do more for the people. >> brian: senator john thune says he believes chuck schumer wants to shut government down, along with hakeem jeffries, they will not vote for government funding package. how does president trump deal with government shutdown? >> president trump: we have to get republican votes. >> brian: you have to get 60, don't you? >> president trump: we will do probably a continuing resolution, or something, do something that -- here is the problem, democrats have, they are sick. there is something wrong with them. schumer is at end of the rope, will be defeated in the next election. if you gave them every dream right now, every dream they have -- they want to give away money to this or that and destroy the country. if you gave them every dream, they would not vote for it. don't even bother dealing with

phone and say let's work together on this. >> president trump: i did. in the first term, we had the most successful economy ever, my first term was successful. i rebuilt the military, cut taxes, highest level ever, biggest level of regulation, very successful. if you remember prior to covid, we did a great job with covid, covid was covid, whole world had to suffer. it was horrible. we had the most successful economy ever in the history of the world and democrats, radical left democrats even were calling me and saying, could we get together? i always say success will bring us together. nothing else will bring us together. this was the ultimate success, we were rocking and rolling and not as much as now, the stock m market is going crazy, 401(k)s
